Lily is the creator, inventor, mastermind, genius, okay you get the gist… behind the best cole slaw I’ve ever had!
This recipe is a totally awesome snack that anyone can enjoy, no matter what your age! So if Mom or Dad’s busy (or in Lily’s case.. her big sister, Alyssa, who lovesss to cook) just head on into the kitchen and whip up some of this awesome slaw!
P.S. As if this doesn’t have you running to the store buying some hummus and slaw already, this will: it’s also dairy-free, gluten-free, and egg-free! (It could also be nut-free if you or your child is not allergic to chickpeas.)
- 1-2 bags of slaw
- 1½ cups of hummus
- Juice from half a lemon
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Water (to moisten the slaw)
- Pour slaw into medium sized bowl. Add some water to make the slaw moist (around 2 tablespoons).
- Then add the hummus, lemon juice, and salt and pepper to taste.
- Mix it all together and enjoy!
